My Impact
My major impact was as the UX Researcher, where I led the research process from initiation to the final stakeholder deliverables. I actively participated throughout the journey, witnessing and contributing to meaningful changes as they unfolded.
Project
North West Health Career allows students in the Healthcare field to get their first step into the industry.
The project was to redesign the whole website from the point of entry to find the opportunity for the user.
The project was to redesign/test/and submit the final design to developers.
The Approach was to understand the user goals and to find the features that attract the user to the websites.
User Goals
Redesign
User Research
Stakeholder Presentation
Transfering Design to Developer
The first step is to understand what the stakeholder needs:
Why does the stakeholders need to redesign the website and the webapp?
In order to understand the problem, we need to create:
User audience
User persona
Generative Research
Research Plan
The initial draft of design was designed to understand the effectiveness of research:
Mid-fidelity Wireframe
Greyscale Design
Review with stakeholders.
After improvement with design, the design had to be tested:
Unmoderated Testing
user Interview
Results.
With the re-design of platform, the design was presented to the stakeholder.
Design Improvement
Final Presentation
What were the areas that I could have improved upon and made the research process better?
Research Plan
Budget
Testing Decisions
Step 1 : Stakeholder Meeting
Why does the stakeholders need to redesign the website and the webapp?
The stakeholder wants to redesign the website:
1. Gain User's Trust
2. Create a ISP(Individual Selling Point) for the Brand.

Target Audience

Primary Audience
Under-represented middle school
High school Students
Undergraduate
Post-graduate student

Secondary Audience
Advisor/Admin of health institutions or health-care industries.
How does NWHCP Webpage stand different?
Compared to Indeed, linkedin and other job sites, NWHCP is focused on students, who is still trying to find to an opportunity.
Step 2 : Generative Research
To gain a clear understanding of the problem, we need to develop:
1. User Audience
2. Competitive Research
3. Analytics
Decided to talk to couple of students - what's the issue?

User #1 (Male)
Did Bio major and got his first hospital experience doing volunteering in hospital.

User #2 ( Female)
Did Pre-med and was focused on medical school, so did medical scribe.
" it was hard to find opportunity other than medical scribe, and ambulance technician"

User #3 ( Female)
Did Nursing, but had to ask relatives for an experience to get into Hospital.
User Audience
Primary Audience- Under-represented middle school, high school, undergraduate, or post-graduate student interested in becoming a health professional.
Secondary Audience- Advisor/Admin of health instituions or health-care industries, willing to provide learning opportunities to the skilled candidates.

User Persona - Graduate Student
Lisa is a Graduate student, who has a master's in Health Science, but after almost 6 years of taking her Bachelor's and master's degrees.
User Persona - High School Student
Amy is a High School student, who is about to go to College. She is really ambitious and dreams of being a doctor one day. She is about to go into a biology major. After starting college, she aims to get medical experience by being a medical scriber.

Limitation - User Audience
Stakeholders Wanted to focus on the primary audience before targeting secondary audience.
Generative Research
To conduct Generative Research, we conducted a competitor analysis and talked to two college students. We wanted to understand how NWHCP could work differently from the rest of the competition.
NWHCP allows students to Contact and view job in Map, and Job Detail.
The area that NWHCP can shine is "View Map" and "transparency" about View Posting job detail.

How does NWHCP works?
Pipeline Mapping Project allows Schools and colleges to submit opportunity to NWHCP Board.
Step 3: Initial Wireframe
Initial design Version 1
To visualize the generative research, there was an initial wireframe.
The user can search for their occupation and location, and the opportunity hunt starts.

The original model displayed the map output initially, with tab results below. This was the first point where users experienced problems.

An original version features a comprehensive search collection view, permitting users to refine and uncover more particulars.
An initial version included a comprehensive search function that enabled users to filter and uncover additional information.

The Application
The applicant has the ability to provide their email and convey their message to reach the recruitment group. This was the subsequent point of breakdown.
User Interview
We decided to do a simple user interview with
1. 2 students - High school Experience
2. 3 College students - College Experience
3. 3 Mothers - Mother's POV

User Interview Results
Here are the insights gathered from user interviews.

The Problem
In the course of our discussion, we identified several zones of potential advancement
1 - Map vs List View
NWHCP product's major ISP is the "MAP VIEW".
The conflict arose when there was a difference in the results displayed:
1. Stakeholder: Map
2. Team recommendation: List

Job Posting View ensures affordability, availability, and comprehensive data. The primary value of maps lies in their capacity to portray distance, scale, and exact location. Furthermore, utilizing Open Street Map and Google Maps carries associated costs.

2 - How to apply
A user is only allowed to go to employer website, and
CANNOT APPLY THROUGH NWHCP
Why cannot student apply through NWHCP
A significant issue in our early blueprint was the oversight that users anticipate viewing and applying via the identical interface.
Job Results
The Team developed a medium-fidelity mockup of the job results interface, featuring both a map and a list view in a split screen format. The stakeholder expressed more satisfaction with this design, but remained unconvinced as to why we aren't prioritizing a map-centric approach.

Job Results Details
The job listing interface needs a UI enhancement to clearly display the title, pay scale, and other essential details for users of all age groups.

we did a final version fixing the major problem - How to apply
Job Result Page
The team decided to add a map and more descriptions to give clear instructions to the user. The "Connect" button and "How to apply".

Final Un-moderated Testing
We conducted a final unmoderated test and received impressive results with positive feedback.
